Online PR Strategies

Publicize your business online using these outlets that may require your time but have little to no cost:

Blogger, of course, Word Press or another blog.

If you don't want the pressure of creating content for a blog then here are other ideas:

Blogs of other writers. Approach a friend, colleague or a complementary business who has a blog and ask if you can write a post once or twice a month. Or if you discover a blog, write the author and ask them to let you post on occasion. Bloggers, like me, welcome quality content from other writes. It keeps our pages fresh and can reduce the amount of work we have to do.

Associated Content. This is a good place to write up articles a few times a month based on your knowledge. You can write on your own business and you'll earn small amounts of money for your total page views.

Link from AC articles to your own web site or to other blogs where you've left comments. Check out my Associated Content page. I've decided I would write about marketing and a variety of topics.

Helium is another outlet and so is Constant Content.

When you write an article or post, you can then link them and bookmark them to several different outlets including Technorati, Digg, Reddit, Yahoo, Google, Pingomatic and many more.

For a fee of around $160 you can submit a press release to PR Web, too, and link to your site or other place where you've made an announcement.

To achieve success in online PR, you don't have to spend money but you do need to be consistent and create content. The good news is, there are many outlets where you won't have to endure the pressure of constantly creating new and relevant content all the time.
